Nagercoil, November 26, 2011. Ponjesly College of Engineering (PJCE) today conducted a seminar to spread the awareness about environmental problems and its effect on the earth and the people living on it. PJCE had invited Mr.Palvannan, Deputy General Manager - Safety and Quality Control at Indian Space Research Organisation, Mahendragiri, Tamilnadu as the chief guest. |

| Speaking on the occasion, Mr.Palvannan had delivered a detailed pictorial presentation on the modern day's environmental issues and how it has been affecting us over a period of time. During his lecture, he outlined several issues including global warming, ozone depletion, deforestation, natural calamities and how all these are threatening the very survival of our planet. He also explained different kinds of pollution that human beings are exposed to and how population growth is directly contributing to this disaster. |

| PJCE's Principal Dr.Maniy Sundar presided over the function. Prof.Arulson Daniel - Director and Mr.Balaji, Director – Training & Placement were the other dignitaries present during the function. A large number of students participated in the seminar enthusiastically. |
